Project Description
The Adelaide Symphony Orchestra (ASO), in association with CineConcerts and Warner Bros, performed John Williams’Oscar-nominated film score live for a screening of J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban™ in Concert at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, South Australia. The ASO has been performing their magic successfully for Harry Potter films since 2016, but for this year’s concert, together with leading Australian technical production company, Novatech, they chose to deploy L-ISA Hyperreal Sound technology to take the audience deeper into the enchanting world of sorcery.
Sound Design Solution
A classic design would use a left-center-right configuration of 12 x K2 with four flown SB28 per side with 8 x K2 in the center. The L-ISA design solution was comprised of a Frontal system of seven hangs of 12 Kara each, evenly spaced above the performing zone, complemented by an Extension system of two speaker groups of 12 Kiva II, and two subwoofer arrays of four SB28 each, flown in an end-fire configuration. The monitor system included ten X15 HiQ cabinets and eight X8.
It was a great experience and I would most definitely like to use it again.
